The 15th Meeting of the Avian Immunology Research Group
Founded in 1988, the now biennial meetings of the Avian Immunology Research Group (AIRG) bring together academic researchers, students and poultry professionals working in the field of avian immunology. These meetings represent an excellent forum for discussing the latest research on avian immunology, exchange of ideas/concepts as well as establishing and maintaining effective collaborations. As a field of research avian immunology has become pivotal in developing better protection against diseases, assuring food security, improving welfare and reducing the impact of zoonoses on human health.
The AIRG 2018 programme will include both fundamental science and practical application of avian immunology. We welcome presentation of work relating to key commercial poultry species as well as work presented in the context of the comparative biology or evolution of immune responses in a broader context including those relating to wild birds. We are delighted to invite all stakeholders, including senior scientists and young researchers from academia, industry and government organisations, to join us in Oxford in the autumn of 2018.
Funds to support researchers from low and middle-income countries to attend the conference are available through Global Challenges Research Fund [Oxford]. More information about eligibility and application, click here
